Mary Haldar Success story

Mary Haldar Success story

Mary Haldar has been living in Mandalgheri village of Jharkhali for a long time.  He was married at a very young age.  After the marriage, Mary Haldar left her husband shortly after the birth of a son and a daughter.  To this day, there is no information about the husband.  Mary Haldar, with her mother, father and two sons and daughters, used to run the family through fishing and crabs in the river.  Then when Mary Haldar's father died, there was more scarcity in the family.  In this situation, he took care of all the responsibilities of the family and bought a sewing machine for fishing in the river.  From then on, he started trading in Ladies Tailors in a small place in the village market.

Last year a storm destroyed his shop.  Then he became unemployed again and stayed at home.  With the help of his son, he has set up a small shop in front of the house where he has a sewing machine with groceries.  But now the business is closed due to lockdown.  Mary Haldar is running the family in dire need.
